February 16, 2004. Gonaives, Haiti. The People for the Liberation of Haiti in Gonaives march for freedom. Rebels hold this northern city of Gonaives after Anti-Aristide  forces drove away the police and mayor. Rebels removed the statues that adorned the city square in Gonaive. The statues are of Haitian founders and Army leaders against the war of Independence against France.
